This project started as an effort to refurbish an underutilized guest house on Lake Washington that had recently flooded. Work on the 1950’s house included a complete remodel of the interior, replacement of existing windows, and redesign of the front elevation to incorporate new sliding glass doors that open up the entire east façade to the lake. A new kitchen and bathroom make the guest house feel inviting and comfortable. The versatile design of the Murphy bed allows for overnight accommodations or for a larger gathering on a summer day.
