Fittingly named after Vesta, the goddess of home and family, the owners were looking for a mid-century living room aesthetic to create a relaxed dinner party feel. The design is oriented around a vast chef’s counter that surrounds a coal-fired hearth that makes the space warm and inviting. The entry creates an intimate transition from the exterior into the restaurant with a low ceiling and lighting detail featuring the Ursa Major constellation. The concept was brought to life with polished wood details and an emphasis on materiality to create an up close and personal dining experience. The materials used mimic the Pacific Northwest-inspired menu – wood and concrete elements along with brass accents are featured throughout the restaurant. A tranquil color pallet of blue and gray with touches of green help to carry the concept and provide a comfortable atmosphere.
