Lacking an owner’s suite, we set forth to rework the upper level of this double story Loyal Heights residence. The client’s wishes were for a space that they could retreat to – an oasis. Utilizing an existing smaller bedroom and bumping out a portion of the upper floor for an addition, we created space enough for both an ensuite bedroom and bath, as well as a new laundry room. Vaulted ceilings and large windows promote an abundance of natural light, while the fireplace and materials help to ground the space by adding warmth and character.
